Tramex Calibration Salt Check for Hygro-i2 Probes

The calibration salt check allows for regular calibration checks. Designed to produce a 75% RH environment within the chamber which may be used to ensure the calibration of the Hygro-i2® RH probe is optimum.

There is no expiry on the SAL75 salt check. If the salt check is exposed to extreme temperature or environmental conditions on an ongoing basis (e.g. left in a hot car continuously) then it may make the liquid in the salt check evaporate and show inconsistent readings, but if it is mainly stored in a dry, cool place, then it will continue to work as expected for a long time.

If the SALT75 gives a false reading, shake it well, to mix the salt solution inside the calibration check and then leave it to acclimatise to the environment for the first 24 hours, reinsert the probe and check the reading again.
