Triple Head Scaling or Scabbling Hammers are ideal tools are for more demanding applications for surface preparation and coatings removal.

Cruciform Heads use carbide tips in cross shape to produce a cutting action leaving a flatter surface profile ideal for fast reduction of material.

Heavy duty scabblers, with one-piece pistons have proven to be the choice for fracturing thicker, tough to remove materials and concrete dressing. 

Trelawny Scabbling Hammers are fitted with tungsten carbide tipped Cruciform hammer heads which leaves a CSP 7 profile.

Cruciform headed pistons are best suited for the removal of heavy rust and scale and also in the reduction of concrete where a smoother finish is required; this type of piston will reduce the aggregate as well as the concrete surface.
