The Difference between M Class & H Class Vacuums

What are the standards to work to?

The Australian standard used when gaining certification for M-Class and H-Class filtration is AS1807.7

M-Class (H13) dust extractors must pass the 0.3µm DOP test that certifies they capture no less than 99.95% of dust.

H-Class (H14) dust extractors must pass the 0.3µm DOP test that certifies they capture no less than 99.995% of dust.

M Class vacuum is mostly considered the minimum requirement in most states and territories of Australia for use in the concrete grinding and cutting industry where we are producing dust that contains high levels of crystalline silica, which is released into the air when cutting and grinding.

The Stone Benchtop Industry Code of Practice requires a minimum of H Class H14. See below note

DustMaster Series

Dust extractor in many industries is often more important than the actual grinding itself. Without it, we could breathe the fine silica dust which is detrimental to our health.

The DustMaster® series vaccums have been released in a various models which have been specially designed to handle demands of concrete preparation industry. These units come with certification to Australian Standards as outlined above to M-Class (H13) or H-Class (H14).
